The Canadian Senate. It sounds like an institution deserving of our respect and regard, a bulwark of democratic afterthought which richly merits the sobriquet of “a sober second look” at legislation.

Sure, many families venture out to multi-plexes to pay a gazillion dollars to go see the hottest new flicks topped up with buttery popcorn and other overpriced snacks aplenty, but who can afford it?
