Our 14th annual Cowboy Poetry in Taber was held on March 26th.  We awoke to what was to be a fine day for us.  I heard from some of those attending from a bit further away that the roads weren’t perfect but they made it anyway.  The attendance at this years’ event was fantastic and thanks has to go out to all those in that great audience.

And pay attention, because there will be a quiz after!  So are you sitting comfortably? Then we will begin.

Hello neighbours! Since last week’s column fell so astoundingly short of the goals I had set for it, namely that it be informative, entertaining, and concise, I have decided to try one more time to restrain my ramblings, and just lay out the cold, hard facts, ma’am!

Greetings, all and sundry, and all the ships at sea! Well, another week rolls around, and this week’s column finds me trying something a little bit different. Yes, Dear Reader, this week, I will attempt, for the first time in this, or any other town, to impart information in short, sharp bursts. Not quite of the Larry King, “Peanut Butter! Now there’s a concept that WORKED!” variety, and nothing so diffuse as a Garrison Keillor “Lake Woebegone Tale,” but I hope to strike a happy balance.
