Hey there, folks. It has been mentioned to me, with all the subtlety of an election year attack ad, that, in my capacity as president of the Arts Council of Taber, I have written very little that actually pertains to “the arts” in my weekly columns.  There are a number of reasons for that.

Good day, friends and relations! I trust that you all found something to rejoice in this holiday season. I, myself, am still in the process of digesting several pounds of turkey, chocolates, cookies, tarts, egg nog, nog sans egg, candy canes, oranges, mashed potatoes, gravy (a beverage here in southern Alberta), more nog and a few of those hard candies that your grandma always kept in a dish for years, ‘till they sort of congealed into a solid mass, capable of doing real and lasting damage to any sibling brave enough to try playing with that “Big Jim” camper and rescue set that you hadn’t even had a chance to break yet!
