Greetings, oh thronging multitudes! I hope this missive finds you in a bright and sun-shiny mood. Remember, what with the weather being all upside down and sideways, and with travel best left to those with a dogsled and a trusty team, sometimes all it takes is a smile to warm your heart, and drive your significant other dashing off in all directions, teeth grinding, a wild look in their eye, muttering “I swear, I’ll throttle him if he grins at me one more time!” It’s a fun party game, and I suggest you give it a try.

When we think of being environmentally friendly, or Green, we don’t normally think of those who settled our town.  Most of us, if asked, would say that the generations living today would be the first to be concerned with greening issues, but a change of exhibits at the museum got me thinking differently.

Good day, fellow travelers! I hope that your week was a full and enjoyable one.
On the other hand, if you’re anything like me, as the temperature drops, so does your ambition. I’m one of those creatures who feels the need to hibernate as soon as the mercury dips below zero. It’s just one of the characteristics I share with the reptiles. I become sluggish and unresponsive.

Good day, friends and relations! I trust that you all found something to rejoice in this holiday season. I, myself, am still in the process of digesting several pounds of turkey, chocolates, cookies, tarts, egg nog, nog sans egg, candy canes, oranges, mashed potatoes, gravy (a beverage here in southern Alberta), more nog and a few of those hard candies that your grandma always kept in a dish for years, ‘till they sort of congealed into a solid mass, capable of doing real and lasting damage to any sibling brave enough to try playing with that “Big Jim” camper and rescue set that you hadn’t even had a chance to break yet!
