EDITOR; In the Dec. 7 issue of The Taber Times, a letter to the editor was published in regards to the high prices of fuel in our town. I would just like to state this is a fantastic demonstration of right-wing supported free enterprise. It is a simple case of supply and demand. We as consumers have no choice but to purchase fuel for our vehicles if we desire to travel in this fashion. When the large oil companies that choose to reduce production in order to manipulate oil prices, as well as the giant retail corporations that sell us the fuel (that belongs to this province in the first place) at way over inflated prices are more than encouraged to act in this manner by the far right that run this province. Until people of this province realize that electing "big business" Conservatives to preside over Alberta, as opposed to, perhaps, a political party that may care more about it's actual citizens than the profits of large oil and gas companies, I guess we'll just have to fill our vehicles at the pumps with a smile and thank the oil companies that own our government for the privilege of doing so.
