Probably the number one question I am asked is “Why did you move home?” To which I usually reply with a number of different answers, knowing that there really is only one true answer, and it’s times like the holidays that remind me why I came back.
I got to do a lot of amazing things in Los Angeles, I met a lot of amazing people and good friends, but there was always something that was calling me home, and I am reminded of that daily by the love and support received from the community. We really do have a great town, with great people, and each one of us contributes to it. I have seen a lot of places and I can honestly say that there is no place like Taber. The way everybody sticks together, rallies behind their own, and just the general care for the well being of your neighbour makes this place great. From the “Hey how are ya” at morning coffee to the wave at a friend while driving down the street, we have done a great job at creating a good place to live and grow, and I was reminded of that time and time again over the holidays. This is a thank you to all the people of Taber, a hypothetical pat on the back to all of you for contributing to this great place we call home, you guys are awesome! Joel Mills |
