EDITOR; Thanks for your quick coverage of the Summer Games in Brooks, and congratulations to everyone who contributed to Taber’s overall second-place finish. Over the past six years, the M.D. of Taber has finished first three times and second three times. We’re very happy with our 20th consecutive cycling championship (and 31 of the last 33). It took a lot of hard work and dedication from a lot of people. Our summer programmers, Katherine and Jessica, did a fantastic job in the Summer Games office, and also came and raced bikes for us. Jessica even recruited her dad, and she did a good job. It was a real pleasure to see our assistant coach and racing cyclist, Jane Bydevaate, get the Max Gibb Award. This woman has overcome unbelievable adversity to accomplish a great deal. Next year, we’re off for Medicine Hat. No rest for the wicked, so I better start planning and recruiting.
