Amos Fettig was never one to throw himself into helping out in the community but once he gets a little push, he dives in.
For Fettig, doing his part started out by taking someone up on their advice for him to join Taber's former 60-Plus club and the Parkside Manor. Now, he's done enough with both organizations to be named Senior of the Year by the Kinsmen Club.
"I am not really a leader or one for going out and saying, 'This is what we are going to do.' I think I would have to say I am an introvert so I need a little coaxing to get involved," says Fettig. "I was surprised (about receiving the award). I think it's a very nice plaque and I am honoured to receive the award."
