Water, water everywhere but unfortunately, still not at the Taber Aquafun Centre.
Originally scheduled to open at the beginning of the month, delays due to numerous construction and permit issues have pushed back the opening date, and the chance for the Taber Viper Swim Club to train for the upcoming season.

Taber Pro Rodeo will have to wait to celebrate its 70th anniversary for now.
After numerous meetings surrounding the state of the Taber Agri-Plex, the Taber Pro Rodeo Committee has decided to postpone the rodeo until further notice.
"There's definitely going to be a pro rodeo this year," said Barry Jensen, president of the Taber Pro Rodeo committee. "We have to do one. We already have some tentative dates sent in and as soon as we have approval on those dates, we'll let people know."

With its original dream nearly fulfilled, the Taber and District Sportsfield Society officially dissolved last Thursday after 10 years of existence.
"It was dissolved for a number reasons. One was that as a society, we had exhausted our avenues for fundraising and grants, and you can't do terribly much without that," said Debbie Sargeant, former president of the society. "Another reason was some of the user groups had lost interest."
