In the music business, every band looks for a break.

The Travezty's biggest break so far comes March 8. The Travezty will be one of 500 bands playing in one of 40 different venues as part of Rogers Wireless Canadian Music Week, which goes March 5-8.
"We've been trying to get into it for years. You apply online where thousands apply and then they weed them out," said Jason Ilczynski, lead guitarist for The Travezty.
Not only will The Travezty be playing its biggest gig in playing songs from its three albums, there will record label executives aplenty at the event, searching for the next big thing.
"Over the years, it seems like we'd always make some progress and then one thing or another would come up. At the end of the day, we have been working hard to make this happen and we got this opportunity by working hard, it feels good. it's nice to finally see a crack of light at the end of the tunnel," said Ilczynski.
The band is doing some fundraising to make the trip to Toronto, as Ilczynski chuckled, "I hope the van makes it."
The Travezty will be playing shows every weekend heading up to Canadian Music Week, including a show with Econoline Crush this Saturday in Lloyminster. The band is also playing at The Palace on Feb. 28 in Taber.
While in the toronto area, The Travezty will be doing shows in Kitchner and Barrie, Ontario.
"With the radio success of our new album (Who You Are) down east, it comes at a really good time. For sure this has been our biggest highlight so far. We're trying to take all the right steps to get noticed," said Ilczynski.
