RE: Flip flop by Linden View management and Gary Bikman

To set the record straight. Yes, Gary Bikman has only been to Linden View once, but it was at my request and to represent me and my family with the on-going battle I had with the poor care, poor food and poor management by Linden View’s management … or should I say, lack of management. Mr. Bikman is a personal friend of mine and I asked him to attend the meeting as my MLA … not as my personal friend. I needed a platform to raise awareness of the terrible conditions that many were suffering at the hands of “management.”

Shawn Terlson, the CEO of the Good Sams, recently spent many hours visiting with residents, current staff, past staff, family members and many other concerned people. It was only after the article written about Linden View on Dec. 3, in the Taber Times, that Mr. Terlson was made aware of the numerous accusations of bullying and abuse by Michelle Day.

Linden View is a beautiful facility, and with the right management and caring people, it can be a role model for all his facilities. Mr. Terlson was appalled by the many things he heard about the goings on at Linden View. He has shown great leadership amongst the many problems he has had to deal with this month.

It should also be noted that the person who signed the Letter to the Editor, ‘FLIP FLOP’, in the Dec. 24 issue of the Taber Times, is the previous manager’s boyfriend.

It sounds like “sour grapes” to me. What comes around, goes around.
