Reader tired of getting gouged at the pumps

Posted on August 7, 2019 by Taber Times

I’m disappointed with the high gas prices in Taber.

Why are we 10 or 15 or even 20 cents more than other communities? My impression is that we have paid consistently higher gas prices for years.

On occasion the price has been cheaper, but that is the exception.

I don’t accept the explanation that transportation costs are higher. I was recently in Pincher Creek and Crowsnest Pass and the price was 11 cents cheaper.

We often hear the advice to shop local, but this type of practice does not encourage such behaviour. Did we offend some gas executive? Please give us a fair price.
