It was a triumphant return to the lineup for Taber’s Western Hockey League product, Brandon Davidson Saturday night in Lethbridge. Davidson, a defenceman with the Regina Pats, was in the lineup for the struggling club for the first time since late November, as he nursed a strained MCL. In his absence, and without scoring leader Jordan Eberle and defenceman Colten Tuebert, who were with Team Canada’s World Junior Hockey Championship squad, the Pats had lost nine games in a row. That changed with a 4-2 win in Lethbridge, in a game which Davidson earned third-star honours, after he notched two assists. In 30 games with the Pats this season, Davidson has a goal and 24 assists, good for 25 points, and is a plus-17. |
