Taber/Vauxhall RCMP detachment community consultation

Posted on February 24, 2021 by Taber Times

Sergeant Gord Yetman of the Taber/Vauxhall RCMP detachment wants to hear from local community members in the Taber/Vauxhall RCMP detachment area, who may have any comments and/or concerns about policing issues in the following geographic areas:
• Municipal District of Taber (general),
• Hamlet of Grassy Lake,
• Hamlet of Hays,
• Hamlet of Enchant,
• Hamlet of Wrentham,
• Town of Vauxhall and
• Village of Barnwell

This information is being collected to assist Sgt. Yetman in determining the top priorities for the Taber/Vauxhall detachment’s upcoming Annual Performance Plan.

The Annual Performance Plan is a document that aligns community priorities with the operations of the detachment over the coming year.

This year’s plan will be based largely on input from our communities as to priorities they would like to see their RCMP detachment focus on.

Normally, a town hall meeting would have been scheduled to hear any comments, questions or concerns, but due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, Sgt. Yetman is accepting input from community members through e-mail.

If you are interested in participating, please contact Sgt. Yetman at: ktaberdetachment@rcmp-grc.gc.ca prior to March 2.

All of the correspondence received will be reviewed with plans to address the top five issues and concerns later in March.

Sgt. Yetman, the members and staff of the Taber/Vauxhall RCMP detachment thanks everyone in advance for taking the time to participate and share your valued input.
