Art and the arts are being celebrated May 3, as W.R. Myers High School proudly presents the 3rd Annual Benefit Concert for the Arts to raise funds for the art, drama, band and photography classes offered at the school.

A considerable increase to the school requisition portion of municipal taxes will have a significant impact on residential property tax assessments for 2013.
At the April 22 meeting, council voted unanimously to pass third and final reading for Bylaw No. 7-2013, the 2013 property tax rate bylaw.

Apex Youth Awards were given out last week, celebrating the positive accomplishments and contributions of the youth in the area.
There were 18 nominees at the 12th annual awards ceremony held last Thursday night at the Taber Community Centre.
