W.R. Myers High School held its athletic awards banquet last Wendesday night to celebrate its various programs for the 2017/2018 season.

The following are the big winners of the night as submitted by the school:

MAJOR AWARD WINNERS:

Grade 12 Male Athlete of the Year – Cole Layton (acknowledged at banquet but presented at Grad).

Grade 12 Female Athlete of the Year – Reagan Bailey & Liesl Steinborn (acknowledged at banquet but presented at Grad).

Grade 11 Male Athlete of the Year – Denzel Gross & Brett Andrus.

Grade 11 Female Athlete of the Year – Kitawna Sparks.

Grade 10 Male Athlete of the Year – Quinn Bailey.

Grade 10 Female Athlete of the Year – Anika Steed & Vicky Shimbashi.

Grade 9 Male Athlete of the Year – Ethan Chapple.

Grade 9 Female Athlete of the Year – Darci Wright.

Male Heart Award – Denver Terry.

Female Heart Award – Sydney Meier.

Male Academic Athlete of the Year – Ethan Schortinghuis.

Female Academic Athlete of the Year – Sonja Mellema.
