Atom Oil Kings earn playoff split

Taber atom Oil Kings split its first two playoff games against the Tier III Lethbridge Hurricanes in Central Alberta Hockey League play.

Saturday’s home game at the Taber Arena was a 12-5 loss.

Nixen Miller had a hat trick and Chase Stronge tallied twice for the Oil Kings. Stronge all drew two assists.

The Oil Kings bounced back with a 6-4 win on Sunday on the road.

Stronge scored four more times and Miller and Tate Nakashima had singles.

The Oil Kings will battle Lethbridge in its third game this weekend at home.
