Atom teams suffer losses on weekend

Taber atom ‘B’ Oil Kings dropped both of its games in Central Alberta Hockey League play on the weekend.

Saturday’s tilt was a 14-3 loss to Foremost Flyers on the road.

Skylar Jensen had two goals and Emmett Ruggles had a single.

Sunday game featured a 9-1 loss to Raymond Knights at the Taber Arena.

Julian Woordman scored the lone Oil Kings tally.

Taber atom ‘A’ Oil Kings (Tier II) were defeated in both of its games as well over the weekend.

The team was edged 7-6 by Brooks at the Taber Arena on Saturday.

Delphin DeBoer had two goals and one assist. Lincoln Wiebe also potted two goals. Heston Hansen and Ethan Volk each had one goal apiece. Dan DeGraw chipped in five assists.

The Oil Kings also hosted Medicine Hat on Sunday and lost 13-5.

Hansen went off for four goals. DeGraw notched a single. Wiebe drew two assists.

PEEWEE: Taber peewee Oil Kings rallied with two goals in the third period to edge Irvine Bulldogs at the Taber Arena on Saturday in CAHL play.

The Oil Kings were powered by special teams with three power-play tallies. Damian Beswich had a hat trick and Lincoln Weiss, Chase Stronge and Tage Jensen had singles.

BANTAM: Taber bantam Oil Kings earned a 7-2 victory over Coaldale in CAHL play on Saturday at the Taber Arena.

Evan Koizumi and Brant Allen both had two goals apiece. Landon Howg, Kyler Marchuk and Kellen Lauwen notched singles. Evan Rabusic and Tristen Egeland-Cusker had two assists apiece.
