Midget “AA” Golden Suns suffer weekend loss

Taber midget “AA” Golden Suns (7-10-1) were doubled up 4-2 by Central Alberta Selects (8-10-2) in South Central Alberta Hockey League play on Saturday night at the Taber Arena.

Tristan Miller and Carson Cleland scored for the Suns.

Aidan Low took the loss for the Suns in net, facing 28 shots on goal.

Taber midget “AA” Golden Suns host Foothills Bisons on Saturday at the Taber Arena at 8 p.m.

BANTAM: Taber bantam “AA” Golden Suns (4-14-4) split its pair of SCAHL games over the weekend.

Saturday’s tilt was a 5-3 loss to Central Alberta Selects (9-10-3) at the Taber Arena on Saturday evening.

Matteo Blasetti, Rhett Klemen and Brady Magarrell scored for the Suns.

Taber bantam “AA” Golden Suns proceeded to beat Cranbrook Hornets (6-12-3) 5-1 at home on Sunday afternoon.

Blasetti had two goals and Hayden Onda, Connor Chapman and Conrad Mehlhaff had singles.

Kahil Wright had the win in net, stopping 18 of 19 shots on goal.

Taber bantam “AA” Golden Suns are on the road on Saturday against West Central Tigers.

PEEWEE: Taber peewee “AA” Golden Suns (16-3-0) return to SCAHL play on Saturday with a road game against Medicine Hat Orange (11-5-0).
