A new pilot project involving youth rugby is having organizers hoping there is plenty of wings to it to increase interest in the sport.

Numbers wise, Taber’s annual 4-on-4 hockey tournament to end off the season proved another success, but if it is to continue changes are going to have to be made, according to the Town of Taber.

As is the case with putting on any large event, the Southern Alberta Summer Games requires a lot of volunteers. Although the event is set to kick off July 3 in Taber, the organizing committee is recruiting well in advance.

The Southern Alberta High School Basketball League all-star games have came and went last Wednesday at the University of Lethbridge with W.R. Myers Rebels programs recognized in both genders. Kelsie Wood was selected for the girls and notched six points for Team Dark in a 70-57 loss to Team Light.
