Taber peewee Warriors skated to a dominating 11-0 shutout of the Hanna Colts at the Taber arena on Sunday. Max Laackmann and Ryan Mankow both potted hat tricks. Daylan Jensen had two goals and Eric Brewin, Mitchell Young and Ryland Rombough had singles. Ryan Hubble drew three helpers with Tyson Meier and Ryan McDonald both getting two assists apiece. Also drawing assists were Jensen, Brewin, Rombough, Mankow and Brendan Tams. Andrew Makarchuk earned the shutout in net. In other peewee hockey action, the Taber Jets managed to earn a single point against Strathmore on the road, a team that has only lost twice all year. The 3-3 draw on Saturday had Logan Kiss, Dylan Jones and Cole Jensen notch singles. Jones also drew an assist along with Matthew Kerkhoff, Tyson Phillips and Kyle Hulit. NOVICE: Taber novice Warriors were victorious in both of its games it played on the weekend starting off with a 10-7 win over Lethbridge Rampage on Saturday in an exhibition game in Taber. Carson Haynes had four goals in the contest as Ty Hewitt and Carson Komery both had two goals apiece. Carter Hendricks and Jack Murphy both had singles to round out the scoring. Hendricks also drew an assist. Kyler James earned the win in net. Warriors hit the road on Sunday and earned a 17-11 win over Crowsnest Pass in league play. Haynes tickled the twine four more times and Komery had the hat trick. Hendricks, Komery and Ty Hewitt all had two goals and Murphy, James and Brendan Appleton all had singles. Haynes, Hendricks, James, Hewitt, Murphy, Appleton and Logan Kromm all had assists. Ryden Mehlhaff earned the win in net. In other novice hockey action, Taber novice Icehogs traveled to the Crowsnest Pass to play the Thunder on Saturday, and came out with a 13-4 win. Jaxxon Pavka and Carter Deboer led the scoring with four goals each, while Colby Garner had three and Rylan Millo had two. Deboer and Garner each had two assists, while Alanna Makarchuk and Talen Damberger each had one assist. Damberger also got the win in net. The Icehogs played the Taber Bulldogs on Sunday in Taber and skated to a 9-9 tie. Garner had the hat trick, while Danberger and Cassidy Phillips each had two goals. Makarchuk and Pavka had one goal each. Phillips, Makarchuk, Garner and Damberger each had one assist. Carter Deboer had the tie in net. Replying for the Bulldogs were Dallas Cummins with four goals and Carson Cleland netting two. Brylan Span, Nathan Verloop and Byron Kress al had singles. Verloop had two assists with Span getting a helper as well. Cooper Ross was in net. INITIATION: Taber Oilers edged Coaldale 8-7 on Sunday. Ashton Lukacs had the hat trick and Deegan Kinniburgh and Kade Duell both had two goals apiece. Devan Loewen had a single. ATOM: Taber atom Snipers were able to hit the mark in one of the two games in played on the weekend, and earned a split. Snipers’ loss was a 7-2 decision to Lomond at the Taber arena on Saturday. Cody Stange and Jayce Jensen both had goals and Rory Murphy and Kasen Lyczewski both had assists. Snipers bounced back with a 6-3 victory over Foremost on Sunday. Levi Tams had the hat trick and Murphy, Stange and Ty Kiss had singles. Jensen had an assist and Brayden Peters earned the win in net. BANTAM: Taber bantam Rangers split its pair of game on the weekend starting with a 4-0 shutout at the hands of the Okotoks Oilers at home on Friday at the Taber arena. Rangers were able to recover with an 8-5 win over Beisker at home on Saturday. Brayden Wolosuk netted the hat trick and Brandon Ferguson, Brady Pavka, Nick Badura, Nick Sorochynski-Wolaniuk and Blake Torscher had singles. Derrick Fletcher had two helpers and Brandon Baynes, Dylan Wolosuk, Ferguson, Brayden Wolosuk, Donovan French, Jonothan Dorohoy and Pavka all had single assists. Dorohoy and French both tended net in the win. |
