There were numerous medals won by locals at the Canadian Indoor National FCA Archery Championships earlier this month in Medicine Hat.
From the Taber area there was Pete Lehman in Master 60 (BRONZE) (769), Nathan Sekura in Cub Traditional Male (GOLD) (482), Monica Higgins in Female Bowhunter Open (SILVER) (786) George Vayro Bow in Hunter Open Male (SILVER) (839), Linda Sekura in Master 50 Female (SILVER) (699), Connie Milan in Master 50 Female (BRONZE) (622), Frances Kadoyama in Master 60 Female (SILVER) (460), and Nick Sekura in Junior Compound Male (SILVER) (778). Also competing at the event from the Taber club were Kelly Barrett (BH0 832), Jamie Brehaut (BHO 798), Joe Mrak (BHO 748), Chris Dunne (BHR 788), Darcy Miller (BHR 731), Darry Gilbert (BHR 727), Cody Miller (JRC 590), Tom Sekura (M50 798), Steve Milan (M50 778), Terry Miechkota (M50 642), Rod Stiff (M50TR 364), Johnny Horvath (M60 756), Gary Higgins (M60 741), Bruce Drewry (M60, 697), Sam Kadoyama (M60 622), and Verle Warren (M60 425). Top eight from women and mens categories shoot off to determine Grand Prix winners with Kelly Barrett winning for men and Monica Higgins winning for women. |
