Tip of the hat to our firefighters

Posted on September 27, 2017 by Taber Times

I believe we all feel gratitude for the many blessings we receive. We may not express our gratitude to others as much as we should however.

I have good friends that have a family cabin in Waterton that is on the mountain side of the town-site. The cabin is nearly 100 years old.

The devastating fire came within a few yards of the doorstep of this old cabin.

When I asked if the cabin had survived the owners said “It was saved by the firefighters from Taber!”

On behalf of all of the residents of Waterton, I would like to thank the volunteer firefighters from all over southern Alberta that worked so hard and displayed amazing bravery to protect the townsite.

Good job.
