Garage sale theft upsetting

Posted on July 11, 2013 by Taber Times

When a person decides to sell items at a garage sale, most of the wares are being sold at a cost minimum to what the original price was.

For example, my son decided to make some money for summer holidays, therefore he placed a $40 price tag on a “gently used” PSP hand-held console with two games.

The original cost was close to $300 or more. He purchased it brand new from monies he saved from allowances and odd jobs here and there.

Therefore, it was very disappointing to find out that the item he decided to sell was so “casually” stolen from the garage sale that we were a part of.

I want to take this opportunity to let that “thief” know that this act of unkind nature will not deter us from believing in the goodness of others.

But shame on you for deciding to have something that clearly could of been yours if bought from the sale.
