Both Taber novice Oil Kings teams battled in minor hockey competition over the weekend.
Taber Novice 1 Oil Kings earned an 8-6 victory over Foremost Flyers on Friday.

Kade Duell and Carter Jensen had four goals apiece.

Oil Kings 1 proceeded to skate to a 13-1 win over Raymond at home on Saturday morning at the Taber Arena.

Duell had four goals and an assist and Jensen, Hunter Damberger, Carson Love and Jaxson Coutts each had two goals apiece. Vance Kramer notched a single and Wieler Krahn had an assist.

Taber Novice 2 Oil Kings split its two games over the weekend, starting off with an 8-7 loss to Warner.

Nathan Planger had four goals and an assist and Evan Koizumi had a goal and two assists.

Sam Tolsma registered a goal and an assist with Devan Loewen also scoring. Rex Bell had two helpers and Hayden Span and Zachary Fehr each had a single assist.

The team followed up with an 11-1 win over Crowsnest Pass.

Tage Jensen had a hat trick and an assist and Koizumi had the hat trick too. Damian Beswick, Kayden Kress, Span and Bell each had a goal and an assist. Tolsma also scored. Planger drew two assists. Shaylee De Bona and Tanner Fletcher each had an assist. Langdyn Cummins earned the win in net.

Both novice teams will be hosting a home tournament this weekend at the Taber Arena.

MIDGET: Taber midget Oil Kings skated to a 6-6 draw on Saturday.

Jaden Turcato had a hat trick to go with two assists for the Oil Kings. Derrick Fletcher had two goals and Dylan Jones registered a single and two assists. Logan Kaye had two assists and Nic Sorochynski-Wolaniuk, Brady Pavka, and Dustyn McCracken had single assists.

BANTAM: Taber bantam Oil Kings skated to a 3-3 draw with Foothills on Saturday.

Ryan Hubble, Ryan Mankow and Nathan Kaye each had goals. Matthew Jensen, Hubble and Ryan Hewitt drew assists.

Sunday’s contest was a 3-2 loss to Hussar. Hewitt and Hendricks each had a goal and an assist.

PEEWEE: Taber PeeWee ‘A’ Oil Kings earned a 5-4 win over Okotoks on Sunday.

Cody Stange had the hat trick and Carter DeBoer and Josh Verloop had singles.

Dallas Cummins and Brylan Span each had two assists and Max Nevil and DeBoer had single helpers. Blake Van Beers earned the win in net.

INITIATION: Taber Initiation 1 Oil Kings earned a 13-4 win over Picture Butte on Saturday.

Maxwell Anderson and Jaida Peters had hat tricks to go with Heston Hansen, Chase Stronge and Nixen Miller each having two goals apiece. Andrew Appleton had a single.

The team followed up with a 10-7 win over Lethbridge Tigers on Sunday.

Anderson and Stronge had hat tricks and Cruz Duell, Ryler Kiss, Peters and Miller had singles.
